"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

Oh, okay; that's what I meant by the AUnza or whatever I typed. But wow, couldn't think of AH, jeeze. I was just writing an explication on one of Emily Dickinson's poems and I kept typing the word "stanza" and then I thought it looked similar to your username. Which naturally gets me thinking about how to pronounce it. I really was quite tired, you must understand.
